Self Portrait vs Selfie

A selfie is replaceable and has disposable quality. A self portrait is more carefully composed and has more decisions in it. More thought and effort is put into self portraits than selfies. I prefer self portraits because they are more well put together and look neater. Neither are more important than the other because both are used very often and are popular among people today.  Self portraits, I believe are used more by professional photographers because I think that they want the end product to look better than a selfie that can take five seconds. Selfies are used more by the younger generation because they are more into that for Snapchat or Instagram.
