But Ian had a drug problem, but instead of getting kicked out he was demoted a rank and a second chance to prove that he was better than that. Ian after a year was deployed to Iraq in 2008, upon his return he married his girlfriend Devin.

Plus captions do have key information that is useful, for example when they were born, where they grew up, or key information that add to the story.
